The Village Hall Committee is in the process of organising a Jubilee celebration to be held at the Old School Village Hall, Ousefleet on 4 June 2012, for the enjoyment of all the Marshland Villages.
There will be a marquee, food, a bar, entertainment for both daytime and evening and a commemorative gift for all the children to mark the event.
All of the above comes at a price and there is only so much a handful of volunteers can achieve by themselves. The committee has already started fundraising and one of the ideas, one which I understand has been a success in the past, is to hold an auction.
The committee have not set a date as such but are looking to hold an event in late February/early March and in the meantime we are searching for items which we could auction to raise funds for the Jubilee.
I understand that in the present climate making donations is not top of most people's lists but it would be greatly appreciated if you were able to make a contribution which could be used in our auction or maybe as a raffle prize.
We are aiming to make the Jubilee celebration a day to remember and one on which the whole of our community can come together.
